WRIGHT, Duane – of Burton, age 84, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the Hospice House of Owosso. Burial services will take place in Ocala, Florida. Duane was born February 16, 1933 in Manton, Michigan the son of the late James F. and Irene Beryl (Sexton) Wright. He married Donna D. Ely on April 5, 1975 in St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church in Davison, Michigan. Surviving are: wife, Donna; brothers, Roger, Virgil (Chris), Dennis (Carolyn), and Robert (Orletta); children, Cheryl (Jay), Ricky (Rhonda), Joe (Amanda), and Peggy; step-children, Regina (Joe), Michelle (Otto), Paula (Eugene), and Richard; 22 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. Duane was employed by A.C. Spark Plug Division of G.M. retiring in 1981 after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James; sisters-in-law, Marilyn, Betty and Eileen; and grandson, Jimmy. Contributions may be made to the Atherton United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or to the Hospice House of Owosso or to the charity of your choice.
