Gary George Wright

WRIGHT, Gary G. , of Holly , age 76, died Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc. Gary was born on January 10, 1935 in Birmingham, Michigan, the son of the late George and Thelma (Adams) Wright. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and had retired from Ford Motors following 36 years of employment. He and his wife Carol had spent the past 20 years residing in Spring Hill, Florida. Gary was preceded in death by his wife Carol in August of this year, and a son, Thomas Wright in 2007. He is survived by a son, Paul and wife Jennifer Wright of Holly, daughter-in-law Kate Wright, grandchildren Tyler Wright, Brooklyn Wright, and Alexis Wright. He is also survived by a sister Carolyn (Gus) Smerczak, niece Elizabeth Smerczak, and a nephew John Smerczak. Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, Rev. Herbert Heavner officiating. The family will receive friends Monday 5 pm to 8 pm and Tuesday 4 pm to 8 pm . Inurnment to follow at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
