James will be remembered with respect and gratitude for the steady presence he was to those who knew him. He found genuine enjoyment in life’s familiar pleasures; especially the quiet satisfaction of a good book, with a particular fondness for thrillers and mysteries. Among his favorite authors was James Patterson. He also enjoyed golfing at Swartz Creek Municipal Golf and took simple delight in playing the lotto.
James is survived by his sister, Marie Psenski; his nephews and nieces, Jason (Genevive) Psenski, Kara (Ron) Cribbs, and Ryan (Jessica Psenski); and his great-nephews and great-nieces, Cooper, Owen, Titus, Sadie, Maxwell, and Savannah. He is also survived by multiple cousins.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Vivian Elkins, and his brother, Bob Elkins.
