Mavis E. Cobb Jensen

JENSEN, Mavis E. – Age 91, of Grand Blanc, died Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Heritage Manor. Mrs. Jensen was born August 29, 1919 in Port Huron the daughter of Luther and Maggie Cobb. Mavis graduated from Fenton High School and worked for Michigan Bell Telephone and MESC. She loved playing cards especially penny poker. In 1937 Mavis married Earl W. Silver and he preceded her in death in 1956. Mavis married Wilford Jensen in 1966 and he preceded her in death in 1996. Surviving are her daughter, Janet (Richard) Haffner; grandchildren, Theresa (Lynn) Gratsch, Todd (Leslie) Gratsch, Michael (Shawn) Gratsch, Mark Gratsch, Mary Berklich; great grand children, Donald Gratsch, Tyler Gratsch, Jackie Gratsch, Nicholas Berklich, Natalie Gratsch, Danielle Berklich; step-children, Alta (Ray) Carey, Barb (Al) Slowinski, Bob (Carol) Schaner, Dale (Lisa) Jensen and their children and grandchildren. Friends may visit the family from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 12 noon Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the funeral home. Mrs. Jensen’s grandson Michael Gratsch will officiate.
