OSBORNE, Milford Henry Smith “Smitty”, age 85, of Lapeer , passed away December 12, 2013 at Stonegate Health Campus, Lapeer. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc. Interment at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 5:00-8:00PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made to the Old Newsboys.
Smitty was born November 15, 1928 in Blackwater, Virginia the son of the late Arthur and Sarah (Asbury) Osborne. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Serving in the Korean War. Smitty was employed by Chrysler until retirement. In his spare time he enjoyed reading and bluegrass music.
Surviving are his wife Marjorie; stepchildren, Louise Shepard (Earl), Doris Thatcher (Charles), Tom Carriero (Theresa) Diane Carriero, Anthony Carriero (Cindy); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Jack, Burton, Bill and T.J. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Roy and Wayne; 2 stepsons, Richard and Darryl; former wife, Edith.
