Nicholas Patrick Daily

DAILY, Nicholas Patrick, “Nick” age 16, of Grand Blanc, passed away Friday, November 21, 2014 at home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00AM Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11803 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc. Fr. Gary Koenigsknecht celebrant. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8PM Monday at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc; and 10 AM Tuesday until time of Mass at the church. In Lieu of Flowers, memorial donations may be made to Michigan from the Heart or Give Kids the World.

Nick was born November 3, 1998 in Pontiac, the son of Lawrence Patrick and Martha Genevieve (Bond) Daily. He was a student at Grand Blanc High School and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Nick embraced learning from an early age and loved going to school. His teachers praised him for his polite, sweet disposition. Nick was an avid reader and enjoyed video games. He was a brave young man who proudly stood his ground when needed. More than anything, Nick felt the perfect place to be was with his family, including his dogs, Gus and Gracie. He will live in the hearts of those he touched forever. His motto in life was “Hard things are not put in our way to stop us, but to call out courage and strength”.

Surviving are his parents, Lawrence and Martha Daily; sister, Genevieve Daily; brother, Patrick Daily; grandmother, Barbara Daily; family pets, Gus and Gracie; several close aunts, uncles and cousins; many loving friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jerry Daily; Burton and Mary Bond.

The family extends special thanks to Indian Hill Elementary, Grand Blanc East Middle School and Grand Blanc High School for their love and support. Also to be thanked is Jill Taylor and her therapy dog, Cosmo.
