Richard Earl Myers Sr.

MYERS, RICHARD E. Sr. “Dick” age 97, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at the Brookdale - Clare Bridge Assisted Living. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 21, 2014 at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. Dr. Darrell Foltz officiating. Interment at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Dick was born May 15, 1916 in Lansing, MI to parents Earl and Edith (Hoag) Myers. He served in the U.S. Navy, later he retired from General Motors as a specification analyst and later worked for Brown Funeral Home for over 25 years. Dick was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grand Blanc. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America. Surviving are children Judith (Maynard) Guild, Richard “Rick” (Jean) Myers; 6 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife Rita Faye Myers January 12, 2012; his parents; brothers Harold A. Myers and Robert L. Myers; sister Helen Thome. Contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Grand Blanc.
