

Robert “Bob” Hyde McCreedy 87, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025. He was born to Madeline (Delay) Mccreedy on July 12, 1937, in Flint Michigan. Bob was a 1955 graduate of Flint Central High School. As a young boy he loved spending summers on a 180-acre family farm often reminiscing about a bull he befriended named Billy. In his late teens and early twenties Bob competitively roller skated at Rollhaven Skating Rink and loved spending weekends dancing at The Music Box in Houghton Lake, Michigan.
Bob worked in the automotive industry throughout his career holding positions at AC Sparkplug, GM and ultimately retiring from Delphi in 2007 as a supervisor. He will be remembered for his love of fishing, spending time in Canada, his vast movie collection and his sense of humor. Bob was friendly and playful with most everyone that he met and worked with. However, as he chose to live a solitary lifestyle, at his request there will be no formal funeral service or Memorial. He was proceeded in death by his Father Robert A. McCreedy, Mother Madeline (Delay) Lovegrove, and former wife Ellen (Weaver) McCreedy. He is survived by his two daughters Kiley McCreedy, Kenda (Kevin) Denlinger; granddaughter Ellen Sue Clodfelter, grandson Benjamin Denlinger; and Cousin Richard (Dick) Bacon of Missouri. Special recognition to long time friend Robert “Bob” Arnold of Swartz Creek, Kim Poof of Davidson for continuing to cut his hair and make him handsome, all the wonderful staff at The Pines of Goodrich, and his incredible nurse Andy from Swan Hospice.
