Rose Flores Delgado Torres

Rose Flores Delgado Torres, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2015. She was born in Flint on September 1, 1925 to parents Jose and Juana (Gonzales) Flores. Rose was an avid walker, and she also enjoyed embroidering, word search puzzles, and flower gardening. Rose will be lovingly remembered by her children: Vicki Mata VanBuren, Juanita (Richard) Kelly, Pauline Delgado, Frances Delgado (Riley) Quinn, Ramona (Lee Allen) Delgado, Mary (Terry) Delgado-Brown, and Gilbert Delgado, Jr.; 25 grandchildren; 56 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; sisters: Theresa Martinez, Jeannie Ramirez, and Lucy Salinas. She was preceded in death by both parents; her husbands: Gilbert Delgado, and Elias Torres; son, Philip Delgado; siblings: Joseph Flores, Jesse Flores, Josephine Velaquez, and Mary Elizondo. A funeral mass will be held at 11am on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe (2316 W. Coldwater Rd., Flint). The family will receive visitors on Monday, November 16, 2015 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm with a rosary service at 7pm at Brown Funeral Home (1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc), and one hour prior the service on Tuesday, beginning at 10am. Memorial contributions may be given to Our Lady of Guadalupe in memory of Rose. As were her wishes, cremation will take place following services.
