Theodore Henry Amberg

Theodore Henry Amberg (Hank) of Goodrich, MI passed away on Saturday, July 9, at Genesys Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Audrey, children: Susan Amberg, Christine Amberg, Michael and wife Barbara Amberg, Thomas Amberg, grandchildren: Monica, Joseph and Michelle Amberg, Mandy Stratton, and many beloved cousins. Born in Kaelberau, Germany, to Valtin and Rosa (Sell) Amberg, Theodore came to the U.S. In 1953. He served with the U.S. Army; 82nd Airborne and Military Intelligence. After receiving his BSME from Cooper Union in New York, he represented and founded subsidiaries of European machine manufacturers, then started his own company, which served mainly producers in the U.S. cutlery industry. Visitation will be at the Hill Funeral Home in Grand Blanc on Friday, July 15, from 2 - 4 PM and 6 - 8 PM with a Rosary at 7 PM. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated on July 16 at 10 AM at St. Matthew Church in Flint. Burial will be at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly at 10 AM on Monday, July 18. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice and pray for the repose of Theodore's soul.
