

Jobb, Vilma, age 94, died October 24, 2021. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 11am with visitation beginning at 10am at Brown Funeral Home – 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Burial will take place immediately following at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Vilma Jobb (Balogh) was born in Nyirmada, Hungary on August 8, 1927. She married Béla Jobb April 22, 1946. She, along with her husband and children, fled Hungary after the Hungarian Revolution. The family immigrated to Flint, MI in 1957. Vilma was employed by General Motors where she was recruited to the AC Ladies Choir, retiring in 1992. Vilma is preceded in death by her husband Béla Jobb in 1988 and her son Béla Jobb in 2018. She is survived by her daughter, Veronica Berger, daughter-in-law Caroline Jobb (Béla), grandchildren Suzanne Paul (Gábor), Michael Berger, Ilona Curry (Timothy), Almida Jobb, great-grandchildren David Neumann, Austin Jobb, Hannah Brooks (Daniel), Brandon Curry, and many relatives in Hungary, including her sister, Forgó Ibolya. Vilma lived by her motto, “pray and work” and enjoyed singing Hungarian “church songs,” cooking traditional meals, and gardening.
