SMITH Jr., William W. – Age 66, of Swartz Creek, died Saturday, January 29, 2011 at his home. Mr. Smith was born November 20, 1944 in Richland, Virginia the son of William and Maggie Smith. He served his country with the U.S. Army and was an avid Michigan fan. In 1965 Bill began working for G.M. and he retired in 2005 from Truck and Bus as a Booth Cleaner. He was a member of U.A.W. Local 581. Surviving are his son Christopher Smith, former wife Linda Faye Smith, 3 sisters, Betty and Thelma of Virginia and Carrie of Lapeer, many nieces and nephews. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his son Eric Lynn Smith in 1993 and his mother Maggie Smith. Friends may visit the family from 12 noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday February 1, 2011 at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service.
