Betty Joan Hill

Betty was born June 29, 1931 to Lucille and William Beasley of Jerome, Idaho. Betty was raised in Twin Falls Idaho. As a young girl she performed in dance recitals and later enjoyed snow skiing. After graduating High School, Betty attended diploma Nursing School in Sacramento California where she met Harold Hill while he was stationed there in the Navy.

Betty and Harold married October 2, 1952 in Twin Falls Idaho. They spent the majority of their 54 year marriage in Grand Junction, CO. they had three children; Kurt Hill, Kenneth Hill and Susan Poirier. Nine Grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

Betty’s life was a beautiful balance of love and devotion to Harold, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Being a nurse was one of her many accomplishments. She genuinely cared for each and every one she touched. After retirement she and Harold enjoyed traveling in the United States making friends where ever they went and never meeting a stranger.

After Harold’s death in 2006, Betty continued to pour into her family. She enjoyed attending church, her small groups and meeting with a group of retired nurses for lunch. In her last years the sparkle in her eyes was the brightest when she was with her family.
