Cameron Ray
August 20, 1976 - September 15, 2014
On September 15th, our community endured an overwhelming loss. Cameron Ray was a loving son, a thoughtful brother, and a dedicated uncle whose influence did not end with his family. He cared more for others than most care even for themselves, and always had more to give whenever, or wherever, the need arose. His cup overflowed with honor, integrity, humility, and a genuine desire to serve his fellow man. To say that he possessed these traits in abundance would not even begin to scratch the surface of his legacy.
Cameron was a decorated veteran who came home from Iraq and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology with emphasis in Human Services. He saw his military service as being, ""Only an experience,"" and wished not to be forever defined by it. Still, his time in the United States Army is an honor that can never be taken away from him. His brothers in arms will continue to celebrate his victories, just as his family will forever be inspired by his heroism.
Cameron is survived by his parents, Lorrie and Uriah; sisters, Catherine, Carolyn, and Corianne, and his beloved nieces and nephews, Caitlin, Alexis, Justin, Payton, Hunter, and McKenzie.
