Mrs. Cadez was a homemaker.
She is survived by three sons, Michael and Marc, both of Grand Junction, and Stephen of Montrose; two daughters, Paulette Humphrey of Montrose and Alyse Cadez of Lewiston, Idaho; three sisters, Madonna Harris and Frieda Gay Cherveny, both of Grand Junction, and Joan Shiolas of Oregon; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Charlotte Cadez
June 8, 1927 - October 15, 2014
Charlotte was born June 8, 1927, in Grand Junction, Colorado to Fred Case Clymer and Mabelle Gardner Clymer. She died on the afternoon of October 15, 2014 of age-related causes at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center.
She was one of 12 children. Charlotte attended both elementary and high school in Grand Junction. During World War II she helped on her family's dairy farm milking cows, delivering milk, and generally assisting in farm work. The farm, milk production plant, and later added drive-in were known as Clymer's Rose Glen Dairy and Drive-In Restaurant.
Charlotte met and married Oliver Kindel in Grand Junction in 1945. They had one daughter, Paulette, but divorced in 1947. Charlotte later met and married John E. Cadez and moved to San Diego, California where John was in the U.S. Marine Corps. She and John had four children and raised all five children at their home on Orchard Mesa.
Charlotte moved to Denver, Colorado after her divorce to John. She first worked at May D & F Department Store in downtown Denver. Then moving to Littleton, Colorado, she opened a specialty gift store, The Magpie, featuring one-of-a kind handmade and collectible items, and later the The Magpie Bakery, specializing in home-baked goods.
Charlotte moved back to Grand Junction in 2000 where she made her home enjoying all of the family living in the area.
Charlotte is survived by siblings, Madonna Harris and Frieda Gay Cherveny of Grand Junction, Colorado; Joan Shiolas of Oregon; her five children, Paulette Humphrey and Stephen Cadez of Montrose, Colorado; Alyse Cadez and husband, Bob Schmidt of Lewiston, Idaho; and Michael and Marc Cadez of Grand Junction, Colorado. Charlotte was also blessed with seven grandchildren, Nichole Cadez-Santiago and husband, Jerome Santiago; Natasha Cadez-McGinley and husband, Sean McGinley; Nicole and her husband, Robert Quintana, and Piper Cadez, all of Grand Junction, Colorado; Travis Cadez-Schmidt and his wife, Keely Honeywell of Spokane, Washington; Adam Cadez-Schmidt and his wife, Taryn Cadez-Schmidt of Lewiston, Idaho, and Anna Cadez of Brighton, Colorado. In addition, there are six great-grandchildren, Aubrie and Keagan McGinley; Harper Cadez-Santiago; Tristynn Cadez; Jordyn Ann Quintana; and Melody Jane Cadez-Schmidt .
There will be a private family service.
