Cody Allen Crandell passed away November 1, 2025 in Grand Junction Colorado due to complications from Leukemia at the age of 41.
Cody was born July 31st 1984 in Grand Junction Colorado to Jeff and Linda Crandell.
Cody was the owner of Game Dude video game store and a chef at multiple restaurants over the years. Favorite of all being Cafe Sol on Main Street where he worked for 9 years with friends he considered his second family. Cody enjoyed spending his free time cooking with his mom Linda, playing video games, collecting Magic cards of which he had thousands of, playing Magic with friends and watching the Denver Broncos with his dad Jeff and family. He loved watching movies and a lot of different series with Supernatural being one of his all time favorites. Cody brought the humor to any situation always asking “Have you seen my baseball?” He said laughter was the best medicine. He was kind hearted especially to animals and he loved spending time with all his siblings. He was truly a goofball but also very protective of his loved ones.
Cody is survived by his mom Linda Talbott Crandell, his dad Jeff and bonus mom Holli Crandell. Grandma Kyong Talbott, Grandpa Tom Hurla. Sisters Mariah Izquierdo Barfoot (Adrian), Tori Peters, Sydnee Barfoot, brother Caeleb Barfoot and brothers by heart Brando Miller, Sam Crowther and Isaiah Stalbert, sister by heart Tabbitha Stanton. Niece Kamden and nephew Kaiden. Aunt Valerie Sanford (Jason), Uncle Ed Crandell (Lois) and Rich Crandell and Aunt Loretta Talbott and tons of cousins and other family members and friends.
Cody was welcomed into heaven by his Grandma Lois Hurla, Grandpa Dean Talbott, Grandpa Cotton Crandell, Grandma Sherry Walsh and Aunt Chantal Crandell.
Cody’s Ready to Sail Remembrance will be held in the chapel at Canyon View Vineyard Church.
736 24 1/2 Rd in Grand Junction Colorado on December 6th at 11 am. Reception and lunch to follow services at the chapel.
Cody was a diehard Denver Broncos fan so the family is asking all in attendance to wear your favorite Bronco Jersey or just dress in orange and blue in Cody’s honor.
