David Thomas Price, 69, of Grand Junction, Colorado, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025. He was born on July 25, 1956, in Pampa, Texas, to Martha Jackson and David Price, and spent his life surrounded by family, laughter, and the great outdoors he loved so much.
David was a devoted husband to his wife, Sherry, and a proud father to his daughters, Sarah and Hannah. He especially cherished his role as “Grandpa” to his four grandchildren — Alayah, Landon, Junior, and Adalyn — who brought him endless joy and smiles.
An outdoorsman at heart, David found peace and purpose in nature. Whether he was camping, fishing, or simply watching a Colorado sunset, he felt most at home under the open sky. He also had a lifelong love of music — from classic rock to country — and could often be found humming a tune or sharing songs that brought people together. Music was his way of expressing joy, comfort, and connection with those he loved.
Known for his great sense of humor, his stubborn streak, and his boundless love, David filled every room with warmth and laughter. His life was rich with family traditions that will continue to live on through those he loved. He leaves behind not only cherished memories, but also the spirit of togetherness, adventure, and melody that defined him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on November 16, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Chipeta Golf Course, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember the man who meant so much to so many.
David’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and the simple joys of life — a reminder to all of us to live fully, love deeply, and never stop listening to the music
