Dennis Ray Veatch

Dennis Ray Veatch of Palisade, CO, died June 15, 2016, at the age of 51. Dennis was born to Neil and Norma Jean (Cruse) Veatch on July 7, 1964, in Grand Junction, CO. He graduated from Central High School and worked for Pepsi Cola for ten years. In 1984 Dennis married Tonja L. Kelley. He earned a degree as a State Certified Appraiser and worked as a Certified General Appraiser for the last 12 years. Dennis could smoke a mean brisket! He also loved to play golf and eat raw cookie dough.

He is survived by his wife, Tonja, Palisade; mother, Norma Jean Veatch, Grand Junction; sons, Jason Kelley, Frederick, CO and Tyler Veatch, Grand Junction; daughter, Chasity Kelley, Grand Junction; and brothers, Bruce, Rusty, and Roger Veatch all of Colorado, Craig Veatch of Arkansas, and Bryan Veatch of Arizona. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Brooklynn Kelley. He is preceded in death by his father, Neil D. Veatch.

A funeral service is scheduled for June 22 at 10:00 at Clifton Christian Church. Burial will follow at Palisade Cemetery. Please, no flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation can be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities Inc., 26345 Network Place, Chicago, IL 60673-1263.
