Diana Marie Farside was born on December 20, 1957, in Grand Junction, CO to Leo and Eva Barela. She passed away at her home Monday, September 28, in Clear Lake, CA. Diana was raised in Uravan, CO, attended schools in the west end and graduated from Nucla High School in 1976.
After high school, Diana went to school in California to train as a phlebotomist and worked in that field from 2000 - 2008 at St. Helena Hospital in Clear Lake, CA, and other area hospitals.
Diana was married to Michael Bibeau in 1988 and later divorced. She married Mike Farside in 2001 and was widowed.
Survivors include her parents, Leo and Eva from Grand Junction; siblings, Betty (Steve) Smith of Penrose, CO; Cathy (Dean) Catt of Loma, CO; Caren (Howard) Stephens of Grand Junction, and Robbie (Jennifer) Barela of Grand Junction. She is also survived by numerous nices, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and significant other, Jeff Lawrence.
A memorial service will be held at the Family Jubilee Church, 487 30 Road, Grand Junction, CO on Saturday, October 3rd at 11:00 a.m. The service will be officiated by her cousin, Pastor Gerald Garcia of Adundant Life Church of God in Montrose, CO.
