

Everett Armstrong was born to John and Mary (Towers) Armstrong, December 10, 1918, in Burlington, Colorado. He spent his childhood in Vona, Colorado. He joined the CCC in 1933 and went in to the army January 29,1942. Everett had a very active military career. He landed on Omaha Beach the first day with Patton's 3rd Armored Division. 32nd Regiment (Spearhead). He received the Purple Heart at the Battle of the Bulge, and went on in to Berlin.
Everett married Laura Lida Wright On February 7, 1948, in Fort Morgan, Colorado. She preceded him in death on October 14, 2007 in Grand Junction.
He lived many places, in Colorado including, Denver Greeley, Englewood, Clifton, Fort Lupton, Crowley, and Grand Junction. He also lived in Oregon, and Mitchel. S. Dakota
Everett enjoyed fishing, camping, and making whirly gigs for gardens. He is survived by his son, Garry of Grand Junction and daughter, Lorna J. (Rick) Walters of Payette, Idaho. Three grand children and 4 great grand children.
Everett's service will be held at a later date at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.
