Cousin Gabe was one of my first friends. As young kids, we both spent a lot of time with our Grandma Stella and Grandpa at their home in Pueblo, CO. We played paper dolls, we sat on the front porch and learned about all the neighbor's lives, we laughed, and we ate fresh tortillas every day. He loved to laugh and he loved to be goofy. As we got older, I got to witness him finding true love with Mona. What a team they were. And then he became a father and their sweet family just radiated love and fun. Gabe was a truly good man. He knew when times were hard or sad, that sometimes laughter may not be a magical fix ... but it made those times just a *little* easier. So as I say goodbye to my dear cousin, I'm sending memories of laughter into the universe - promising that I will always remember that laughter when I see a sway of the clouds. I'm sending love to his beautiful family during this time and always.
