

A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Canyon View Vineyard Church.
Mr. Baker was an owner and did sales in heavy equipment.
Survivors include two sons, William of Grand Junction and Bart of Clifton; one daughter, Amy Tezak of Grand Junction; his father, David of Moab, Utah; two brothers, Ed of Parachute and Stan of Moab, Utah; and five grandchildren.

Gary David Baker

Gary David Baker, age 66, of Grand Junction, Colorado left us peacefully, with family at his side, at his home on March 8th 2014, to join his loving wife, Mary Baker.
Gary was born to Dave and Shirley Baker in Grand Junction, Colorado in April of 1947 and was raised in Moab, Utah. Gary graduated from Grand County High School in 1965. He attended college in Utah prior to returning to Moab where he worked in the Uranium industry. Gary married the love of his life, Mary, in 1968 in Moab, Utah. Gary worked as a salesman of mining equipment and heavy machinery. In the 1980's he started his own business selling heavy equipment, which he proudly operated until his death. Gary was active in his children and grandchildren's lives, 4-H, and loved his farm where he has raised everything from kids to cattle.
Gary enjoyed spending time with his family hunting, fishing raising cattle and spending time on his 4-wheeler in the outdoors.
Gary is survived by his father, David Baker of Moab, UT; his brothers, Ed (Sally) Baker of Parachute, CO, and Stan (Chris) Baker from Moab, UT; children, William (Debbie) Baker Grand Junction; Bart (Tera) Baker of Palisade, and Amy (Justin) Tezak of Grand Junction. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brandee Baker, Brad Baker, Mathew Baker, BreAnna Baker, and MaryEmma Tezak whom he loved dearly, and was very proud of.
Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Baker on August 19th, 2004, and his loving wife of 30 years, Mary Baker April 22nd, 1998.
A memorial celebration will be held Saturday, March 15th, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at Canyon View Vineyard Church, 736 24 1/2 Rd, Grand Junction.
A reception will follow at the Orchard Mesa Lions Club Park, Mesa County Fairgrounds (Across from City Market).

Gary will be remembered and missed for his sense of humor, his honesty and the loving care that he showed for all.
