Iona Mary McClellan

October 22, 1914 to July 23, 2012

Iona McClellan passed away at age 97 quietly at her home. Iona was born on October 22, 1914 to John and Jannie Roberts in Roll, Oklahoma. She was married on November 25, 1933 to Jesse D. McClellan in Arnett , Oklahoma.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jesse David McClellan and son Jesse Neil McClellan. She is survived by her two daughters Vona Lee Burch, and Beverly JoAnn Ooley. Also four grandchildren: Micki Michelle, Scott Shane, Jesse James, Daniel David, and nine great-grandchildren: Taylor Burch, Jessica Michelle, Mikaela Michelle, Emma Lee, Brian Kenneth, Brett Andrew, Shane Werner, Mckenna Joy, and Elizabeth Hope.

She was a member of the Assembly of God/Victory Life Church for over 56 years. She loved the Lord and talking about Jesus was the highlight of her day. She loved sewing beautiful quilts and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. She was devoted to and loved her companion dog “Lady.” There will be a visitation from 6pm to 8pm on Friday the 27th of July at Martin Mortuary. A funeral service will be held on Saturday the 28th of July at 10am at Martin Mortuary, and a graveside service to follow the funeral service.
