

She was 4th of 6 children. At the age of five the family moved to Fruita, Colorado where she lived on a farm. She met Woodrow going to school in Fruita, and they married in 1932. While they were building a house in Loma they lived in an underground dirt cellar. They took in their nephew Harold Gerry and raised him after his parents died. He gave his life to God before his death.
In 1944 they moved to Collbran where they ran a dairy. She grew a huge garden and canned everything to feed the family all winter. Every year she raised 200 chickens and would butcher and sell them. She did all kinds of crafts up until her 100th birthday.
Ivy is survived by her sons Gene (Martha) Gerry of Cedaredge, CO and Lloyd (Carmen) Gerry of Eminence, MO. Daughters Wanda Hooker of Palisade, CO and Mary Lee (Alex) Wilkinson of Fruita, CO, 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 16 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings, as well as 2 grandsons, 1 great-grandson, 2 son in-laws, and 1 daughter in-law.
A funeral will be held at 11am, Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at the Assembly of God Church in Collbran, CO, with burial to follow at Egalite Cemetery.
