James was a proud member of the United States Navy and served honorably in the Vietnam War.
He was a valued employee at CDOT from 1980 until 2004.
He is survived by his wife Shelby Couch, his daughters Christina (Tom) West and Angie (Allen) Olds and son Bill (Linda) Mason as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and friends.
A Military Honors will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 2970 North Avenue, Grand Junction, Colorado 81504.
