Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Wentzel of Fruita and Tanya Lipkowitz of Davenport, Iowa; one sister, Carrie West of Washington; two grandchildren; and two-great-grandchildren.
Jewell Lee BennettSeptember 11, 1924 - August 9, 2014 Jewell was born September 11, 1924, in Saverton, Missouri to John D. and Mary Lou Reynolds Vann. She attended high school there and left to join the Navy (WAVES). She was honorably discharged in February, 1946. While in California she graduated from beauty school. Jewell was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1950. She lived in Missouri and Quad City area until 1955, when Jewell and her daughter, Pamela, came to Grand Junction. Jewell married Earl Wesley Bennett June 24, 1955. They had a daughter, Tanya, born December, 1956. Earl passed away August 1, 1965. Jewell enjoyed being a homemaker and she was an excellent cook. She made everything ""from scratch"", no pre made mixes were ever in her home! She also enjoyed her Christian meetings and the door-to-door ministry when she was able. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Vann; brothers, John and Fred Vann, and husband, Earl Bennett. She is survived by two daughters, Pamela (Bob) Wentzel of Fruita, Colorado; Tanya (Steve) Lipkowitz of Davenport, Iowa; grandsons, Tom (Rhonda) Musgrove of Altus, Arkansas, and Ryan Musgrove of Sanford, Maine; great-grandsons, Liam and Kian Musgrove of Altus, Arkansas, and sister, Carrie (Bill) West of Snohomish, Washington. Services are September 27, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall, 2334 H Road, Grand Junction, Colorado. Inurnment was held on September 3, 2014.
