Lenora Jane Hefner, 84, of Grand Junction died November 13, 2015, of natural causes. She was born December 23, 1930, in Durango, CO, to Leonard and Iola Brown. She spent her childhood in Durango and graduated from Durango High School. She has been a resident of Grand Junction for 52 years.
Lenora was a seamstress and ran her own alterations business. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi. Her interests included golf and travel, and she was an avid baseball fan.
She is survived by her best friend and companion of 20+ years, John Spendrup; sons, Carl “Butch” (Ann) Hefner, and Scott (Theresa) Hefner; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and Carla Sandman, a long-time companion of her son Gary.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Evan Guy Hefner; son, Gary Hefner; and brother, Carl Brown.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on November 23, 2015, at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
