She is survived by one son, Daniel Bruce Brock of Charlotte, North Carolina; one daughter, Laura Leigh of Grand Junction; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Marjorie Jean Brock
July 25, 1923 - April 7, 2015
Marjorie Jean Brock left this earthly world to be with her heavenly Father on April 7, 2015. She was born on July 25, 1923, to Ada and Elmo Calder. Marjorie Calder spent her childhood and young adulthood in Dodge City, Kansas, with her brother, Jerry, and two sisters, Shirley and Gayl. She met the love of her life, Glenn Brock, in high school and the two married in 1942. Their little family was blessed with three children, Jeffery (Carolyn) Brock, Laura (Earl) Elam, and Bruce (Jo) Brock.
Marg’s various jobs in the Grand Valley included working for both the VA and St. Mary’s Hospitals, Mesa County Sheriff’s Department, and Bray and Company. While working for the sheriff’s department as a deputy, Marj was the first woman in Mesa County issued a bullet! She worked for Bray & Company for 23 years, where she was awarded Realtor of the Year. Marjorie was also very involved in the community and church organizations throughout her life. As a loyal and faithful servant of the Episcopal Church, she was part of the Daughters of the King, President of the Episcopal Church Women, President of St. Margaret’s Guild, Directress and Treasurer of the Altar Guild, and several others. She received a 50-Year Member Award from the Beta Sigma Chapter of ESA, received an award from the VA Hospital, and gained recognition from the City of Grand Junction for the leadership she showed in saving Lincoln Park Barn. She was a member of PEO, Toastmistress' Club, Elk’s Ladies, as well as several bridge clubs and book clubs.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Glenn; eldest son, Jeff; and daughter-in-law, Jo. Services will be held at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church at 3888 27 ½ Road on Saturday, April 11, at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, a gift to St. Matthew’s Music Ministry in Marjorie’s name has been requested.
