

Michael Paul Anton IV passed away at Hopewest in Grand Junction, Colorado on June 17, 2024. He was born on April 10, 1956, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Michael Paul Anton III and Virginia Anton (Noonan). Michael spent his formative years in Missouri and later in California, where he met and married his beloved wife, Karen Francis Fitzgerald, on August 29, 1987.
Michael had a deep passion for collecting cars, enjoying SxS rides with his friends, fishing in Canada, and enthusiastically attending JUCO Baseball games. He devoted many years as a sponsor of Challenger Baseball, showing his commitment to the community.
A pillar of his community, Michael served as President of the Airshow, was a former member of the Board for the Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce, and actively participated in organizations like the Grand Junction Lion's Club and Easa. He took great pride in supporting the Fruita Monument High School Lacrosse team, while his son (Anton) played there. He was especially proud of his son.
Michael's zest for life and his warm spirit extended to his employees at Emtech, where he nurtured a tight-knit work family. He embraced life fully and always maintained a positive outlook encapsulated by his motto, "It's all good."
Michael was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his devoted wife Karen Anton of Grand Junction, CO; his son Michael Robert Anton of Grand Junction, CO; his brother Rick Anton (Cristal) of Prescott, AZ; his sister Paula Kaderka (John) of Lotus, CA; and many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
A service to celebrate Michael's life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Michael's memory to Challenger Baseball, Hopewest of the Grand Valley, or a charity of your choice.
