Michael was born in Chicago, Illinois, and spent his childhood in Des Plaines, Illinois, and Carson, California. Michael lived in Grand Junction, Colorado for 49 years. He worked for Parkerson Construction for 30+ years and formed many lasting relationships. In his later years, Michael was “George” to many of his family and friends, and Grandpa George to his many grandchildren. Michael enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and enjoyed BBQ’s and parties at his house. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and four wheeling. He always enjoyed spending time on the Grand Mesa. He was an avid coin collector and enjoyed collecting and building puzzles. Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Rosemary Bobber; his father, James Bobber, Sr.; and brother, David Bobber. Michael is survived by his two brothers, Dennis (Sandy) Bobber of San Tan Valley, Arizona, and James Bobber, Jr. of Rosamond, California; two children, Stephanie (Dennis) Seiler, and Michael (Katrina) Bobber, Jr., both of Grand Junction, Colorado, eight grandchildren, Johnathan (Sarah) Seiler, Morgan (TJ) Fritzlan, Joshua Pacheco, Alyssa Pacheco, Emily Bobber, Andrew Seiler, Thomas Seiler, and Kallie Bobber; and by two great-grandchildren, Matthew Fritzlan and Kellie Pacheco.
A memorial mass will be held at 11a.m. on February 22, 2024, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 790 26 ½ Rd., Grand Junction, CO 81506.
