

Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado. Services will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
He is survived by his wife, Sue; one daughter, Natalie von Loewenfeldt of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; three brothers, Douglas of Bozeman, Montana, Johnnie of Grand Junction and Daniel of Whitewater; one sister, Barbara Jarrett of Grand Junction; and three grandchildren.

Paul N. Brown
June 17, 1942 - March 23, 2016
Paul's life was defined by public service; an Air Force veteran, he served in the Colorado State Legislature, District 55, from 1974 - 1978. He also worked as a Community Impact Coordinator for Battlement Mesa, then served Congressman Ray Kogovsek as Chief of Staff in Washington, DC. He worked for ten years for the State of Colorado in the Division of Property Taxation. An active Democrat, Paul served on the executive committee of the Mesa County Democrats. He was appointed twice by the Governor to serve as the Public Trustee for Mesa County and tirelessly assisted those faced with foreclosure. Paul helped candidates running for public office. He was active in the Grand Valley Honor Guard and served as the Chairman of Friends of the Depot, to restore the historic railroad depot.
Paul is survived by his wife, Sue Brown; daughter, Natalie von Loewenfeldt (Robert); grandsons, Christopher, Joshua, and Timothy and great-grandson, Alexander; sister, Barbara and brothers, Doug, Johnnie and Daniel.
Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, March 30th at 10:00 a.m. at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:30 a.m. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, with reception at 12:30 p.m. at Bookcliff Country Club, 2730 G Road.
