She married Edward T. Manger in 2000, at the Clifton Christian Church, Clifton, Colorado; he survives.
Retha enjoyed art painting, jewelry, and writing poetry.
She leaves behind her husband, Edward T. Magner, of Grand Junction, Colorado; daughter, Brenda Kennedy, of Kerrville TX, her three sons and families, John and Terri Kennedy, a daughter and son, Oklahoma City; Jeff and Angela Kennedy, a daughter and three sons, Austin, Texas; Jeremy and Marti Kennedy, a son and three daughters, Evergreen, CO; son, Rodney Cozby, five daughters, four grandaughters, and three grandsons, of New York. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren loved her joy, laughter, stories, and how strong she was.
Retha also had some Angels in her life. Beverly Jackson and daughter, Christina Horn, are blessings in Mom's life that started many years ago. Rhea Holliday and son, Billy; Rhea treated Retha like her Mom and Mom loved her like a daughter. Andy and Stan Jones; Andy and Mom had a special bond, they truly were meant to be in each other's lives. Bob Alber, a long time friend that treated her like a son; she loved him like one.
When Mom had to go to Hospice after her second stroke and was at Mantey Heights. God sent Geniva who was an Angel to her for me. The Staff, CNAs and Nurses at Mantey were also amazing, and also helped me see her on Zoom on Fridays. Retha also had many loving nieces, nephews, wonderful neighbors, her dear church family, and friends that were blessings where she lived.
Retha was preceded in death by son-in-law, Palin Kennedy and eight siblings.
