Richard A Martin

Richard Allen Martin, 77, of Fruita, Colorado passed away at home on the morning of December 12, 2025. He was born in Golden, Colorado to Edward and Della Martin on November 15, 1948. He married his high school sweetheart Cathleen (Curtis) Martin and enjoyed 56 years of marriage. They lived in the Denver area for much of their lives, moving to Fruita in 2018. He is survived by Cathleen, and their children Stephen (Christine), Michael (Stephanie), Matthew (Angie) and Jennifer (Andrew Jefferies) and 8 grandchildren, as well as siblings Lorena Leach-Tillman and Randy.

After working for Coors Container Company for nearly 30 years, he was able to do the same work internationally which enabled him to travel the world and see new sights. He loved the outdoors and was able to use his experiences as inspiration to paint many of the sights he had seen. He was an accomplished artist, and his work was exhibited in numerous art shows and galleries. He was always willing to serve and help others and will be deeply missed. Funeral services will be held December 20, 2025, at 11 am at the Fruita Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel at the corner of Ottley (K Road) and Maple (17 1/12 Rd). A visitation will be held at the church beginning at 10 o'clock. The interment at the New Elmwood Cemetery in Fruita will follow the service.
