His family moved to Houston, Texas in 1968, where he finished high school. In 1971, Robert enlisted in the US Marine Corp, where he served for 4 years and where he got his name "Bo", He returned to Houston, Texas, and worked for the Houston Fire Department for a couple of years. Due to circumstances, he enlisted into the US Air force where he served two years, which brought him to Denver, Colorado. Bo was employed with the United States Postal Service and retired after 33 years of Federal Service. It was while working at the Postal Service that he met his wife, Karen. They were married and started a family together. Bo was a devoted, loving but strict father. He wanted the best for his family, and always put his wife and children before himself. Bo was very athletic in his younger days, he even tried out for the Gold Rush USFL, he loved to bowl, golf, play softball and travel when he could. His last vacation was to the Dominican Republic, where he was around another one of his loves, the ocean. He learned about Jehovah over many years of study and on June 20,2009, he symbolized his dedication to Jehovah by being baptized at the Budweiser Event Center, Loveland, Colorado, where many of his bible teachers were in attendance to witness. Bo endured through many illnesses and hospitalizations, always putting up a hard fight and succeeding.
In this last battle, however, he knew that his God and Father Jehovah was with him and that gave him the peace and the calmness to fall asleep in death.
We look forward to welcoming Bo back in the promised resurrection as stated in the Scriptures.
Acts 24:15
"And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous."
