Stephen was born in Morgan City, LA. on December 21, 1976 to parents Lori Freeman Rink and Stephen John Rink Sr. He graduated from Logansport High School and attended Diesel Mechanic Academy in Nashville, TN.
He held different jobs in the oilfield with most of them related to mechanics. Stephen enjoyed repairing engines of all kinds. He would never pass up a person with a raised vehicle hood without stopping to help them. He was described recently as a humble, kind man. Stephen loved his daughter, Rylee, more than life itself. He taught her how to cook, taught her to listen to all kinds of music. Most of all, taught her to hold her head up high, to never quit, and the importance of showing kindness to others.
