Virginia Lou Lionberger

Virginia was born to Clyde and Olive Kipp on May 15, 1930. She later met and married Bert Lionberger, they remained married for 68 years until his passing in 2016. Virginia had a variety of hobbies, she loved acrylic painting, arrowhead hunting, playing the piano, and writing. She made everyone feel loved and accepted. She truly was a real sweetheart, and loved any gathering, especially a family gathering.

Virginia is survived by her children, Sherry Staggs, Bonnie (Rick) Bitz, and Tammy (Scott) Gardner; her brother, Roddy Kipp; and many beloved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Olive Kipp; her husband, Bert; her son, Brett Lionberger; her grandson, Ryan Staggs; and her siblings, Raymond Kipp and Colleen Fahrney.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at HopeWest Hospice and Capella Assisted Living for the love, kindness, and care they provided to Virginia.

A memorial service celebrating Virginia’s life will be held at Capella Assisted Living on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 1:00 PM.

Virginia will be remembered as being kind, loving and dedicated. A talented artist, she loved music and her family dearly.
