Walter Guy Fritzlan

He was born on 9/6/1944 in Beatrice Nebraska to WW and Lucile Fritzlan (Worth).

Walt grew up in Hotchkiss CO and graduated from HS there.

Walt married Naomi Carpenter in Grand Junction on Aug 26,1967. Together they raised their family in Grand Junction.

Walt proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1964 to 1968. After his service in the Navy, Walt worked as a physical plant mechanic at Mesa State College for 31 yrs until his retirement. Walt was an active member of the Canyon West Worship Center and enjoyed the time he spent serving his community through his local food bank program.

A celebration of life service will be held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary at 12 o'clock on 2/28/2022 with a burial service with military honors at the Veterans Cemetery at 3 pm.

Walt is survived by his loving wife Naomi, Sons- Mark Fritzlan (Ali) Mesa AZ, David Fritzlan (Dannette) GJ Colorado, Raymond Griffee (Cathan) GJ CO. Daughter Wendy Dauk GJ CO. Brothers- Royal Fritzlan Loveland CO, Sam Fritzlan (Terry) Paonia CO BIL Milton Carpenter (Glenda) Colorado Sp CO. Sister Stela Campbell Hotchkiss CO, SIL Sonia Fritzlan Delta CO. 12 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren.

Walt was preceded in Death by his parents, WW & Lucile Fritzlan, FIL Clyde Carpenter, MIL Helen Carpenter, Brothers- Larry Fritzlan, Wren Fritzlan. Sister Rosa Lee Dreiling, BIL Jack Dreiling
