Mr. Brown was a miner.
Survivors include his partner, Connie Brown; three sons, Gary Ortiz of Dolores, Bill Brown and Travis Brown, both of Grand Junction; two daughters, Teressa Williams of Keams Canyon, Arizona, and Cheryl McManus of Bayfield; one brother, Calvin A. Brown of Bossier City, Louisiana; one sister, Brenda Moore of Silverton, Oregon; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
