Bill was born to mother Helen Elizabeth Sellars and father Winston Alexander Meyer at St. Mary’s hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado on November 10, 1961. Bill spent his childhood in the Grand Valley where he attended and graduated from Fruita Monument High School. He went on to attend Mesa State College (now known as Colorado Mesa University) and Arizona State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
After his time in school, Bill went on to manage restaurants and sell cars throughout his working life prior to his retirement. Bill was an eclectic man with many hobbies and interests, though he spent much of his time attending drag racing events and watching films and television. He was an avid cryptozoologist and travelled throughout the west and southwest researching and pursuing this passion with friends and family.
Bill is preceded in death by his mother Helen Elizabeth Sellars, father Winston Alexander Meyer, and brother James William Meyer.
He is survived by his brother Fredrick (Karey) Meyer, sons: Stephan Johnathan Meyer and Winston (Meg) James Alexander Meyer, and many dear friends and extended family.
Bill will be forever loved and remembered by all who knew him.
A graveside memorial service will be held for Bill at a later date.
