

She was born February 20, 1922 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Arch and Marnie Youngblood. She graduated from high school in Seminole, Oklahoma. She married Darrel Kenneth Johnson in 1942.
Abbie spend most of her working life in the banking business. She developed life-long friends everywhere she worked and lived. She was devoted to her church and her church family. Abbie was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan donning a Tony Romo jersey for every game. She also loved her cat, Rusty. She was an active member of the Grand Prairie Women’s Club and played bridge weekly. Abbie was amazing with crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers, Virgil and J. W., and her closest friend, her sister, Joy, as well as her husband, Darrel.
Abbie is survived by her daughter, Linda Hurt of Grand Prairie, and her son and his wife, David and Suanne Johnson of Como as well as nephews and nieces and many good friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm Tuesday, August 31st at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home, Grand Prairie. The memorial service will be at the Inglewood Baptist Church of Grand Prairie, 10:00 am Wednesday, Sept. 1st.
