Abigail "Abby" Marisela Navarrete

Abby was a beautiful young lady inside and out. She was a kind soul with confidence to spare. Very creative whether it was drawing, computer graphics, painting or arts and crafts. An entrepreneur and self motivator she had a successful etsy account. Abby attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Grand Prairie and graduated from Bishop Dunne Catholic School Class of 2021. She was accepted at Iowa State University and planned to attend in the Fall to pursue a degree in graphic design.

Abby loved the Lord, her family and friends. She enjoyed gaming on board games, computer or game consoles. Abby was very active, participating in her high school band where she played the clarinet. A member of Latinos Unidos, Spanish Honor Society, Girl Scouts of NETX and Southwest Children's Choir. She played T-ball, soccer, volleyball and was a cheerleader. While attending Bishop Dunne her favorite thing to do was go to football games with the marching band.

Abby is preceded in death by her grandparents: Guadalupe Rocha, Ramon Navarrete, Abel Saenz; great-grandparents: Guadalupe Minjarez, Regino Minjarez, Connie Acosta, Trinidad Acosta and aunt Santa R Avila.

She is survived by her parents: Amy Minjarez and her husband, Manny Ocampo, Daniel Navarrete and his wife, Marisela Saenz; boyfriend Nick Craigo; fur baby Rosie; siblings: Joshua Rivera, Nevaeh Navarrete, Ramon Navarrete; grandparents: Martin G Minjarez, Isabel Nunez, Juan Nunez, Ana Watson, Santos Navarrete, Alma Navarrete, Virginia Lopez, Judy "Granny" Mobley; uncles: Martin Minjarez and his wife, Mona, Sammy Minjarez and his wife, Gabby, Abel Ocampo and his wife, Stephanie, Danny Chavez, Ambrose Chavez, Santos Ricardo Navarrete and his wife, Ana, Francisco David Navarrete and his wife, Erin, Alex Saenz and his wife, Denise; aunts: April Minjarez and her husband, Jesse, Elvira Watson, Chrystal Borne and her husband, Kyle, Ana Watson, Elena Navarrete and her husband, Ruben, Cristina Navarrete, Virginia Saenz-Flores and her husband, Eric, Jennifer Munoz, Brandy Garcia and her husband, Miguel; cousins: Jeanette, Leila, Marty, Elisa, Bryan, Sammie, Bella, Aaron, Ariel, Liborio Jr., Abel Jr., Samuel, Rusty, Michael, Christopher, Jordan, Joseph, Aden, Jacob, Sofia, Eli, Madeline, Layla, Ruben, Luna, Gabriel, Kaleb, Ella, Lennon, Savannah, Sarah, Gabby, Bella, Katherine, Mia, Noah, Ally, Alex, Anthony; God-parents: Dan Gallegos, Mary Gallegos, Rebekah Benavides; fur-siblings: Teller, Coco, Rosie, Winter, Sadie, Arya.

A visitation will be held for Abby starting Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 8:00 PM and ending on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 8:00 AM at Grand Prairie Funeral Home, 733 Dalworth Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75050.

Rosary will take place on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 7:00 PM at Grand Prairie Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Grand Prairie, 610 NE 17th Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75050.

A graveside service will follow Friday, July 9, 2021 at 11:30 AM at Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens, 3001 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052.
