Ana Maria Garca, age 74, of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025. She was born on October 1, 1950, in Fort Worth, Texas to Servando and Guadalupe Rubalcaba. She graduated from Trimble Tech High School. She married John Garca on May 26, 1970, and they spent 50 happy and loving years together.
For over 30 years, Ana was an expert Accounts Payable professional, dedicating most of her career to TXU, from which she retired in the early 2000's. A devout Catholic, Ana faithfully attended the Catholic church of St. Michael the Archangel.
Ana had a plethora of hobbies and leisure time interests over the years, including sewing and crocheting, but her favourite pursuits revolved around outdoor activities such as fishing and camping. She also loved to travel and experience new places, living life to the fullest and always cherishing her beloved family.
Ana is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Garca, and by her parents: Servando and Guadalupe Rubalcaba.
Ana is survived by her children: son, John Robert Garca and wife Tiffany; son, George Garca; daughter, Elizabeth De La Fuente and husband Noel; daughter, Jennifer Garca; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; Her sisters: Christine Salazar, Cynthia Ontiveros, and brothers Armando Rubalcaba, Joe Andrew Rubalcaba, David Rubalcaba, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Ana will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 5:00 PM at Grand Prairie Funeral Home, 733 Dalworth Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75050. A rosary will take place at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 11:30 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 2910 Corn Valley Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. A committal service will follow at 1:30 PM at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211.
