She was born on January 31, 1940, in Belvidere, Illinois, to Fred and Pearl Kaehler.
On December 31, 1959, Betty married the love of her life, Frank Kosar. The couple made their home in Belvidere until relocating to Irving, Texas, in 1963.
Betty worked for many years as a beautician in Irving, later became a Mary Kay cosmetics consultant, and eventually partnered with Frank in running a successful trucking company in Dallas. She balanced all of this while lovingly raising her family.
A proud member of the Red Hat Society, Betty cherished the friendships and fun she found through its events over the years.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Pearl Kaehler; her brother, Pete Kaehler; her sister, Joyce Martenson; her beloved husband, Frank Kosar; her grandson, Kenneth Kosar; and her daughter-in-law, Tina Kosar.
She is survived by her sisters, Louise Berg of Rockford, Illinois, and Rosemary Inman of Walland, Tennessee; her children: Robert Kosar of Canton, Texas; Deborah Sigafus of Adams, Wisconsin; Julie Moore (James) of Barry, Texas; and Tim Kosar (Amanda) of Greenwood, Wisconsin.
Betty also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and her devoted dog, Katie, who was her faithful companion for many years.
Betty was a kind, generous, and caring woman who touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
