

Carolyn Ann Campbell McCondichie was born on January 8, 1937, in Tulsa, Oklahoma as the second child and only daughter of Andrew P. Campbell and Mabel A. Harris-Campbell. Carolyn lived a life full of grace, service, and dedication to her family and community. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1954 and continued her education at Langston University, where she pursued her passion for learning and helping others, and became an active member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She later earned her Masters degree in Education at Northeastern University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
On August 22, 1959, Carolyn married the love of her life, Richard D. McCondichie. Together, they shared 66 wonderful years of marriage, building a strong and loving home filled with faith, music, and the joy of service.
Carolyn devoted her professional life to caring for and educating others, working as a licensed practical nurse and later as an elementary school teacher. She retired in 1993 from the Tulsa Independent School District, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, dedication, and excellence in education.
A woman of deep faith and community spirit, Carolyn was a proud member of First Baptist Church North Tulsa for over 50 years, where she was an active participant for many years. She was also a devoted member of Delta Sigma Theta, Phi Delta Kappa, and a leader in organizing the Red Circle Girls at her church. Carolyn found joy in her sewing group and in sharing her musical talents by playing the piano, which she played during her early years at her home church Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church of South Haven in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Carolyn Ann Campbell McCondichie, passed away peacefully at the age of 88 in her home in Wylie, Texas, surrounded by family on May 6, 2025.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, former students, and all who were blessed to be part of her life.
Her warmth, strength, and unwavering kindness will be remembered by all who knew her.
Remaining to carry out her legacy are her husband Richard D. McCondichie; three children Pamela (Michael) Jordan, Marva McCondichie Drain, and Richard Brian (Tanja) McCondichie; seven grandchildren Nicole Drain, Brianna Drain, Darian Drain, Natalie (Nick) Galvan, Kevin (Kayla) McCondichie, Kamryn McCondichie, and Kristian Lee; and great grandchild Sophia Galvan
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Mabel Campbell; siblings Andrew Campbell Jr., Melvin Campbell, and Michael Campbell; and nephew Kenneth D. Campbell.
Carolyn’s favorite scripture she leaves with us all is Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
The family will host a Memorial service for Mrs.McCondichie on June 7,2025 at 2:p.m. at First Baptist Church North Tulsa the address is, 1414 N. Greenwood Avenue
