Clyde was a staple in Grand Prairie being a co-owner of Don Juan Mexican Restaurant in Grand Prairie. He also worked with the City of Grand Prairie in the traffic operations division until his retirement in 2013 after 25 years of service.
Growing up, Clyde loved being outdoors. He was involved dirt track racing both as owner and driver in dirt track cars. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and camping, spending many weekends at the cabin at Lake Fork. He was a member of Thomas B. Hunter Masonic Lodge, Mountain Creek Masonic Lodge and Lonnie L. Blake Eastern Star. Clyde was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents Able and Mabel Golden, 1 brother and 3 sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Carolyn (Willis) Golden; son, Clyde Golden Jr and his wife Cari; daughter, Lisa Wood; grandchildren, Emily Wood, Clayton Golden, Carson Golden and Morgan Wood; and his dear sister-in-law and her husband, Jim and Betty Young; other family and many friends.
Visitation for Clyde will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 9:00 AM with Funeral Services to begin at 10:00 am at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home, 2951 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, Texas 75052. Committal services will follow at Southland Memorial Park, 1204 S.W 3rd St., Grand Prairie, TX 75051.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Texas Masonic Charity Foundation in Clyde's name.
