Collette Donna Lee was born in Omaha, Nebraska on December 9, 1963. She attended school in Albuquerque, New Mexico and graduated from high school at South Grand Prairie in 1983. Collette then went to school and became a phlebotomist at our local hospital. Collette joined the U.S. Army and served overseas and in the states for seven (7) years before she was discharged. During this period of time, she met her husband Victor Melton and they married in California in 1991. From this union, they have one daughter, Taylor Morgan, who was born in Anniston, Alabama in 1996.
Collette passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 5, 2013 and is survived by her husband Victor, daughter Taylor, mother Norma, father Norman who are all from Grand Prairie, TX. In addition, she leaves behind Daryl, a brother of Perth, Scotland, a sister, Michelle of Grand Prairie, and another brother Jon of San Diego, California. There are numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends who will miss Collette greatly. Collette will always be remembered for her electric personality and personable nature.
