On Wednesday, July 31, 2019, Craig Dean Corley, loving husband, father, son and brother passed away at age 56.

Craig was born on March 19, 1963 in Oklahoma City, OK and got to the great State of Texas as soon as he could. He graduated from Grand Prairie H.S. in 1981. At age 15, Craig started working at Minyards and was a model employee for 25 years. After Minyards, Craig was accused of “loafing around,” delivering bread for Mrs Baird’s. He truly enjoyed being on the road and meeting people on his delivery route. Craig Dean and Darlena Jean (Walker) married on October 15, 1983. They raised two daughters, Sarah and Hannah. He passed his love of animals onto his girls.

Craig had a passion for helping others. He never drove past someone broken down on the side of the road - neighbors, friends and strangers - it didn’t matter. He was a devoted son and helped his family at every opportunity. As an organ and tissue donor, Craig gave to others in death as he did in life.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lester and Beatrice Lowe; Carl “Ward” and Hazel Corley; and Kenneth and Norma Wallis.

He is survived by his wife Darlena; his daughters, Sarah and Hannah; his brother Darren; his niece Meagan; and his parents Jerry and Doranna Corley.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 5, 2019 at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home, 2951 S. Belt Line Rd., Grand Prairie, TX from 6-8pm.

A Celebration of LIFE Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 6 at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home, at 2pm.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Craig‘s family. I’ve known Craig for his entire career at Mrs. Bairds (Bimbo Bakeries) he was a true friend to many here, he was always willing to help whether it was for a minute or whether it took a day, you could count on him. I loved Craig’s snickering laugh and knowing whether or not you wanted to hear it he always had his opinion. Craig will be truly missed here at Mrs Bairds.

Words cannot describe the shock and sadness felt by myself and so many others at Craig’s passing. He was a great man...loving, kind, friendly, and always there to lend a helping hand. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend. A sweet soul who will be missed. My thoughts and prayers to Darlena, to Sara and Hannah as well as Craig’s family and friends. Having known Craig during his early childhood I remember the delight he was to all the family. My sister Marcy and I have a fond memory of taking him on a walk to the nearby duck pond to feed the ducks, when he spent a few days with us in Tulsa. After he moved with his family to Texas we didn't see him often but heard all the updates thru his grandmother, Norma. We know he was always a joy to her. Love and prayers for his mother, wife, daughters, dad and brother
