Ms. Dorothy Jean Moore, also lovingly known as "The Mema", was born on December 9, 1943 in Waxahachie, TX to the parentage of Ruth and Samuel Williams, Sr. She was amongst 6 children in their lineage - Melvin Williams, Mary Beal, Joyce Jones, Lenora Scott, and Samuel Williams, Jr., who had all preceded her in death, along with her late husband, Larence "Pete" Moore, Sr.
Our mom dedicated her life to caring for her children and grandchildren alike. She raised us all in church and ensured we understood the importance of welcoming God's loving hand & guidance over our lives. In addition to her devotion to us and our Heavenly Father she invested nearly 30 years of her life to her career as a cashier at Wal-Mart. There was rarely ever a patron that would come through her line that didn't feel her kindness, and she more than impacted the hearts of all her co-workers who warmly referred to her as their "Mama Dorothy".
Dorothy's oldest daughter, Dorothy Marie Moore-Miles awaited her in Heaven, and she leaves behind to cherish her love, laughter and memories; son, Larence L Moore, Jr. wedded to daughter-in-law Leticia "Letty" Del Toro; daughters, Darlene Moore-Robinson wedded to son-in-law Virgil "Robb" Robinson, Jr., and Lenora "Laurine" Moore, and her daughter-in-Christ Simona "Mona" Garza; grandchildren, Sheldon D Reed, Darlene Denise Davis, Johnny F Demar, III, Jamison "Jami Baby" Roberts, Hunter Auriel Miles; and great grandchildren, Jaden, Joy Faith, and Malachi, along with a host of other dear relatives and special friends.
This Little Lady will be forever loved and greatly missed.
