

Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margarita Ramirez Tijerina, and his sister, Pauline Tijerina Lopez. He is survived by his brother, Carlos Tijerina, Nick Tijerina, and Rick Tijerina; Sisters, Beatrice Tijerina Horrocks, Rosalinda Tijerina Rossow, Anna Tijerina, and Olivia Tijerina Esquivel. He leaves behind his children, Liza Tijerina Rodriguez, Belinda Tijerina Chaves, Francisco Tijerina, and Sheila Tijerina, along with 10 grandchildren and 1 great- grandchild who brought him immense pride and joy.
Frank Graduated from, PSJIA high school in 1965. He enlisted in the United States military in 1966 and honorable completed his reserve service in 1972. Among his proudest accomplishments was serving his country, a commitment he held close to his heart throughout his life. He often spoke fondly of his time in the service and the lasting bond he shared with his closest naval friend, cherishing their years as veterans together. His service was recognized with the Good Conduct Medal and the Vietnam Expeditionary Award.
In his retirement years, Frank found happiness in the simple things he loved most- fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his pride in his service and the lasting memories he created with those who knew and loved him.
A funeral service will be held May 1st from 8:00am to 10:30am at Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home on Beltline Road. Burial will follow at 11:00am at the DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas.
Franks’ legacy of love, service and family will live on in all who knew him.
