Fred grew up in Laurel and graduated from Laurel High School. Around the age of 19 he entered the US Air Force where he served proudly for over 20 years before retiring. He was fun loving man who was always making some kind of noise. He enjoyed being a jokester and going to drive-in. His passion was tinkering on his cars, spending time with his family, his goat “Baby” and his cats “Blacky” and “Sam”.
He is preceded in death by his father Fred L. Collins; mother Estella Collins; brother Cecil Collins and nephew Darrel Eugene Collins.
He is survived by his brothers Harry Daniel Collins, James Lee Collins; sisters Joyce Ann Cruver, Elaine Collins; nieces Lori Ann Sides, Tammy Lynn Armor; nephews Randy Allen Collins and Harry Daniel Collins Jr.
